Peru is a country that makes you want to rise with the sun each day to drink in the fresh air and beautiful scenery that surrounds you, especially in the heart of the Andes. The colorful weavings, smiling faces, creative pottery and rich history are truly inspirational for creativity.
This Well Crafted Travel trip will take you exploring the colorful weavings and pottery for which Peru is famous, as well as visiting the most famous site of Machu Picchu and exploring the arid desert coast near Paracas. We will hike with a herd of llamas to a remote village where we will work with a local women's cooperative, learning to back-strap weave. We will work with a local potter, learning about the traditional Incan motifs and designs from which we will create our own works.
